Open Technical Communication

The first edition of this project was funded by Affordable Learning Georgia. Open Technical Communication is a free and open technical communication textbook authored by Tamara Powell, Tiffani Tijerina, Jonathan Arnett, Cassandra Race, and Monique Logan. The second edition was funded by a Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dissemination Acceleration Program Grant and was authored by Tiffani Tijerina and Tamara Powell and edited by Michelle Jimmerson and Jenny Rissen. It is hosted on Manifold by Affordable Learning Georgia.

Composition 1 Hybrid Template

The Composition 1 (ENGL 1101) Hybrid Template Course Created with the OpenStax Text project was funded by Affordable Learning Georgia. The course content was created by Constance Briggs and Keaton Lamle for use with the Achieve text from MacMillan. The project was created in SoftChalk. It was adapted by Tamara Powell to use Writing Guide with Handbook, a free composition textbook by OpenStax.

The Word Literature (ENGL 2110) Online Course Template with Open Educational Resources project was funded by Affordable Learning Georgia. The course content was created by Ruth McIntyre and Melanie Sumner. Tamara Powell served as the project manager and accessibility expert. The project was created in SoftChalk.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

The most requested faculty development tutorial that I created while Director of the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences Office of Digital Education was an online tutorial called "Work Smarter, Not Harder." It covers three methods to increase student learning while decreasing faculty workload, and it was originally part of the "Build a Web Course Workshop" faculty development series. The project was created in SoftChalk.

Composition 2 Online Template

The Composition 2 (ENGL 1102) Online Course Template with Open Educational Resources project was funded by Affordable Learning Georgia. The course content was originally created by Laura Howard to be used with a publisher textbook and adapted by Tamara Powell to be used with the OER Lumen Composition 2 Rhetorical Methods. Then, with the grant, the course was updated by Tamara Powell, Jeanne Law, Ruth McIntyre, Amanda Shoemake, Bryn Gravitt, and Jacob Westberry to include more multimodal, interactive activities and clearer assignment sheets, rubrics, and course materials. Tamara Powell also served as the project manager and accessiblity expert. The project was created in SoftChalk.
